If your custom engine sound is still gone since the update from Wednesday 19.11.14, then you should try the fixed MP.exe version by xbx posted at http://forum.maniaplanet.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=28620&p=234417#p234387
Create a backup as always at such stuff, but for me everything was working just fine.
I'm pretty sure that the fix will go into an official update on Monday or Tuesday.
