I'm very disappointed. The game looks childish, the multiplayer is completely messed up, there is no dedimania... These are just the things I noticed while playing for less than 5 mins. I really can't see why anyone would play this over TMUF or TM2.
Not worth the money imo, I'm just glad I got it for free.

I'll check it out later, but the first reviews, especially regarding the lack of customizability, aren't too good.

I've read that the cars handle a little bit differently (notably the stadium car which apparently feels heavier, whatever that means), so it may not even be enjoyable to play...

for 40 euro is it to much for a game that existing since 2004... sorry. my opinion is.. :
mania planet use the same layout of tm1 , i mean the game engines graifc engine and more... maina planet splittet only the existing parts of trackmania.. and renamed it in canyon valley . new was only shootmania , but the game engine is the same of this...
trackmania turbo use same stadium valley canyon bloxksa.. whats new. a bit more speed effect a bit more graifc flowers. okay. but for this little futures 40 euro? never with me... i pay for trackmania united forever 10 euro.. for mania planet stadium and canyon 10-15 euro. and for the turbo he want 40.. to much ..
I tried it and disliked it immediately. There are now only 2 camera choices. First person and a third person that's way too close to the car for my taste (similar to camera 2 in TM1 and TM2).
And having a commentator criticise you when you hit a wall is also something I don't think anyone needed.
Like already commented, nothing new or interesting here for old hands. It seems they were trying to imbue some old skool arcade feeling, but I don't go those places.

No custom controls is a massive annoyance and I also prefer CAM1 which has been removed

canyon car ok
stadium car heavier ..harder to steer/turn but you get used to it
lagoon like playing on ice
valley very slippy too
various ramstein effect all modes
:& lack of camera angle lets it down
needs a bug fix release soon.
